Is it just me or did Summer speed through? There was barely a Spring this year and now all of a sudden its Fall! I think the Seasons have gotten shorter! If I remember correctly, we got a lot of ice last Winter but not as much snow as the previous year.

The weather is making it difficult for me to focus on giving the kids “school work”. We’d rather be outside! It not very hot and its not very cold. It been just right if you have long sleeves or a light jacket on.

I cant wait for our trip to the pumpkin farm in Winchester on Friday! Mmmm, pumpkin seeds and pumpkin pie! Truthfully, I could skip Fall and head straight to Christmas but then I would miss all the yummy food for Thanksgiving! I’m not THAT crazy!

I also cant wait for the leaves to really change colors! The trees have started to change but the northern Virginia mountains are soo beautiful when they are all ablaze in color! I dont think Bob Ross could paint such a lovely picture and he was a pretty darn good painter!

Maybe the kids and I will hike outside tomorrow and gather some leaves to make some cute Fall crafts. That should keep me busy! There were some really cute ones on the Crafty Crow (see side links) that I want to try. Maybe once I get some holiday crafts done I can get focused back on dishing out the “school work”. Thank goodness for homeschooling or else I dont think I’d have the time to goof off and make crafts and call it “science and art class”!
