Mission Statement
The Winchester Area Homeschoolers Association was formed to serve as a steady source of encouragement and support to local homeschool families by providing members with fellowship, support, and resources, as well as social, educational & community opportunities.

WAHA is an inclusive, Christian group. Inclusive simply means that our membership is OPEN TO ALL home educating families. Our members, regardless of faith, age, race, or gender, must understand and agree to abide by all of the guidelines that govern our group. All members need to understand up front that non-Christian families are a welcome part of our group. We encourage anyone that would not be comfortable with this to seek a more exclusive homeschooling support group.

All members are required to agree with our Terms of Service which states that they have read and understand our Mission Statement, WAHA Requirements, WAHA Code of Ethical Conduct and all other guidelines that govern WAHA. All members of WAHA agree to honor the principles described therein.

Free Membership
A complete registration application is required for membership to WAHA. Spam-filter services must be updated to include all WAHA management addresses. Membership to the group entitles you to chat on The ApplePeel forum and blog and to receive the monthly e-newsletter. Monthly newsletters will be provided to all members electronically in PDF format.

Field Trips, activities and parties are organized by the WAHA managers, but suggestions are always welcome. Please contact the Activities Director if you’d like to suggest or help coordinate a field trip, activity or party. They will be promoted through our website, e-mail, blog and monthly newsletter. Please make it a priority to welcome ALL new homeschoolers during field trips as well as other events, as that’s what WAHA is all about! WAHA events and activities are subject to change, so please be sure to review your e-mail often for updates.

By signing the WAHA Member Agreement, you agree to assume all risk of physical injury and/or any other injury that could result from any of the activities or events that you participate in. Parents are held solely responsible for the behavior and safety of their child(ren) at all WAHA functions.
